The Hope is Dope project is an educational, compassionate outreach program designed to promote a positive approach to the opioid epidemic, and addiction, using the methods and information presented in L.P.C. Steve Treu’s Hope is Dope book.

Our objective is to focus on addiction, education, prevention, treatment, and a systematic pathway to recovery. We feel that addiction/recovery education is key to reducing stigma. and establishing a common understanding to support our mission which is to build a recovery community network.

A “snapshot” of the Hope is Dope project can be viewed on YouTube, by entering “Hope is Dope” into the YouTube search engine and selecting the “52 minute full lecture” by Steve Treu.

The Hope is Dope project aims to provide people in recovery with a sense of community. This is accomplished by engaging them with other people also suffering from substance abuse; as well as, providing them with a repertoire of coping skills and activities, that have been shown to produce endorphins, and assisting them in coping with the difficulties that they face.
